Life Healing Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to provide exceptional therapeutic services to seniors in our outpatient clinic located in Brookhaven, New York. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while also requiring occasional presence at our outpatient facility to meet with clients in person. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop customized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of geriatric clients, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health care.

• Provide consultation and support in the creation of pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and positive behavior support strategies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, ensuring seamless coordination within the clinical team.

• Utilize evidence-based tools and methodologies to inform clinical decision-making and enhance client outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans and address the comprehensive needs of clients.

• Engage as an active participant in all licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices and standards.

• Establish effective communication channels with community partners, state agencies, and other relevant service systems to advocate for our clients and enhance service delivery.

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local, state, and federal organizations to identify new opportunities for community engagement and resource development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) recognized by the state.

• A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support, with a focus on age-related issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
