Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

We are seeking a committed and energetic Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Spine and Joint Rehab Center in Norfolk, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will not only assist patients in restoring their physical abilities but also promote their overall well-being and quality of life. The Spine and Joint Rehab Center is a leading orthopedic outpatient practice in Norfolk, VA, dedicated to providing state-of-the-art rehabilitation services. Our clinic features a spacious 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility equipped with advanced therapy technologies. As a physical therapy-owned practice, we take pride in delivering personalized care to our clients, primarily those with private medical insurance. Our team is composed of a small group of passionate professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all focused on achieving exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position, where you will have direct and meaningful interaction with our patients in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. Your work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced work-life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload of up to one individual per hour, ensuring focused, personalized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to design and implement effective rehabilitation programs centered on pain relief, enhanced mobility, and improved functional abilities.
• Provide cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at minimizing patients' reliance on medications and considering alternatives to invasive surgical procedures.
• Incorporate a variety of treatment techniques and modalities, adapting approaches as needed based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
• Develop and deliver customized fitness and wellness plans that align with each patient's specific therapeutic needs.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their treatment journey to optimize their functional outcomes and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Document comprehensive patient care services and treatment plans accurately within our EMR system.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes, track patient progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at our center, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing musculoskeletal issues, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds, and your compassionate approach will play a crucial role in addressing their unique challenges, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Maintain a spotless professional record with no disciplinary actions affecting your license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Have a strong understanding of pain management strategies and rehabilitation methodologies relevant to orthopedic patients.
• Experience using EMR software, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with managing patient progress in a private practice environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
