Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual consultations, documenting each client's progress from initial intake through ongoing sessions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based methodologies.

• Closely monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to reflect client needs and improvements.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Proactively follow up on clients who may require inpatient support, liaising with hospital staff to provide continuity of care.
\n
• Implement strategies to identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, empowering clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved one's mental health challenges, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve range widely in age and background, from adolescents experiencing anxiety to adults dealing with depression or trauma. Our center places a strong emphasis on cultural competence and sensitivity, ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and understood regardless of their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Massachusetts as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient understanding of electronic health record systems, with experience using AVATAR strongly preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of both physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to connect with clients and colleagues effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trusting relationships with clients, families, and team members.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a track record of successful client outcomes in a clinical setting.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A deep understanding of the pharmacological effects of medications that may be prescribed to clients, ensuring that you are well-equipped to address client concerns.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
