Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Research Assistant for the Center for Alcohol and Substance Use Studies.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

• Handle coordination of study visits, recruitment of subjects, and community engagement.
• Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in preparing regulatory documentation for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and funding agencies.
• Train students and new research staff.
• Provide general administrative support (e.g., ordering supplies, record keeping).
• Data management and analysis.
• Perform literature reviews.
• Assist with preparation of grant proposals and research dissemination.

$26 per hour

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, public health or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to be well-organized, detail-oriented, and to manage multiple projects at once by prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, and be able work collaboratively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Qualtrics, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of data analytic software such as SPSS, R, MPlus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience conducting or assisting with academic research in a related field.
• Experience in manuscript and grant writing.
• Intermediate statistical knowledge.
