Duality Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health counselor to join our telehealth team in Jackson, California. In this full-time, remote position, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality mental health care to adolescents and young adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a 100% remote work setting through our telehealth platform. As part of our supportive team, you can create your own schedule from Monday to Friday, working hours that fit your lifestyle within the 9 AM to 5 PM range, while also enjoying the peace of mind that comes from no on-call responsibilities. Our operations team handles the administrative tasks, allowing our counselors to focus solely on providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough virtual assessments and screenings to understand clients’ mental health conditions and substance abuse histories.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
• Educate and include clients’ families in the therapeutic process, helping them understand and support recovery efforts.
• Maintain precise and confidential case documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults who are navigating mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The role requires a strong ability to connect with these individuals, offering empathetic support and evidence-based interventions that resonate with their unique experiences and, ultimately, guide them toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
• Current state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or PsyD is mandatory for this position.
• Candidates should possess robust verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
• Advanced proficiency in technology and familiarity with tools such as Google Suite and electronic health record systems (EHR) is essential.
• Professionalism and a neat appearance are important to uphold the trust of clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions is preferred, especially with an emphasis on telehealth practices.
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults in a virtual setting is highly desirable.
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in ongoing training related to our evidence-based care pathways will be valued.
• Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a private work environment to ensure patient confidentiality.
