Make a meaningful impact supporting students' growth as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a full-time contract position near Warren, MI. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state OT licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience with school-based, teletherapy, healthcare OT, or a strong desire to grow in these areas
- Proficiency in assessing and supporting fine and gross motor skills in school-aged children
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans for students to enhance fine and gross motor skills and support participation in daily school activities
- Deliver OT services in classroom and virtual settings, adapting strategies for each child’s unique needs
- Work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Document and track student progress according to best practices and district guidelines
- Educate staff and families on recommended OT interventions and tools for ongoing support
