Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including identifying client strengths and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Serve as an advocate for clients in navigating community resources, such as educational services and social support systems.

• Offer crisis intervention by assessing situations, implementing immediate strategies, and ensuring the safety and stability of clients.

• Document client progress through accurate record-keeping, keeping comprehensive treatment notes and updating plans as needed.

• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families about mental health topics, effective coping strategies, and self-care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on children, adolescents, and their families who are coping with a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related disorders. You will work closely with schools to support students who may be facing difficulties in educational settings, thereby addressing both their academic and emotional needs.

Qualifications\n

• Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field.

• A minimum of four years of experience in a clinical social work capacity.

Compensation and Benefits\n
