Facility Manager

We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Implement all the projects related to the completion of new buildings Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life‑cycle requirements Conduct and document regular facilities inspections Ensure compliance of all legal and statutory obligations related to the property Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost‑effectiveness Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers Manage contractor and vendor relationships Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met Check completed work by contractors and vendors Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff Performance manage, develop and train staff Prepare and track facility budget Advise on and monitor energy efficiency Assure security of the facility Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failure Qualifications 3-5 years experience in same position within similarly structured working environments Technical background studies (or equivalent experience). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering will be an asset. Excellent knowledge of building management and security regulations Strong organizational, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage different relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and providers Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to solve issues in a changing environment Flexibility and problem solving Benefits Company sponsored 401k Health insurance coverage Dental and vision insurance package Generous vacation and PTO policies Excellent opportunities for growth and career development.
