Reports to the Building Principal. Responsible for delivering high-quality instructional experience in accordance with Worcester Public Schools curriculum frameworks and standards. Responsibilities Stay current with curriculum content. Plan and assess curriculum and instruction. Mentor students' understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials or assessments as needed. Effectively manage the classroom environment. Deliver instruction using clear learning goals, appropriate instructional and questioning techniques. Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including technology, to increase student learning and confidence. Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement. Promote equity and appreciation of diversity, ensuring equitable opportunities for all students, including those with special needs, 504 plans, and ESL learners. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language. Work Year & Salary SALARY: Appropriate step on Teacher’s Salary Schedule. WORK YEAR: 185 days.
