About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: RN License (pending license accepted with conditions) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Previous experience in a mixed acuity unit (Medical Surgical/Telemetry & Stepdown) - Ability to float as needed within nursing scope Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in a mixed acuity unit, specializing in Stepdown Neuro. The unit provides care for a variety of neurological conditions. Nurses will care for patients with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, and brain and spinal cord tumors. Ratios for Medical Surgical/Telemetry patients are typically 1:5 during the day and can vary at night. Stepdown ratios are 1:3-4 for both days and nights. Nurses must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. This includes potential floating to various units within the facility. Must be comfortable managing drips and providing care for multiple patients. All staff are required to adhere to facility policies, including being nicotine-free. Weekend shifts will be required; specific days may vary. Holiday work may also be necessary as per unit needs.
