Responsibilities

• Assess patients across the spectrum of age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, using a combination of standardized testing and observational evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that highlight communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish a unified care approach.
• Provide guidance and educational resources to patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical settings.
• Assist with the occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's recovery.
• Maintain thorough and prompt documentation in accordance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Continuously engage in professional development and collaborate with peers to remain informed about advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensing & Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
