Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ symptoms related to mood disorders, assessing intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment decisions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Guide clients and families through education on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower their recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress by regularly reviewing treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any dual-diagnosis needs.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all documentation supports client care and treatment histories.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and staff development opportunities to foster teamwork and share innovative ideas.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, addressing any issues related to stigma and accessibility to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals dealing with various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from challenging backgrounds, including those impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, and other significant life stressors. Your expertise will help in guiding them towards recovery while addressing the unique aspects of their situations.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this position.
