Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct one-on-one therapeutic and psychosocial counseling sessions tailored to adolescents, focusing on solution-oriented strategies to empower them in overcoming current and future challenges.

• Facilitate skill-building sessions that bolster coping strategies and resilience among students facing mental health issues.

• Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans in conjunction with other healthcare professionals and school staff, ensuring that all aspects of the adolescent's needs are met.

• Implement crisis intervention assessments and provide timely evaluations to determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Deliver specialized support to adolescents grappling with severe mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disabilities.

• Lead group counseling sessions on a variety of mental health topics, fostering peer support and discussion among students.

• Maintain thorough documentation of intake processes, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to quality assurance.

• Provide training and guidance to staff in detention and probation facilities, offering best practices for working with adolescents in their care.

• Coordinate discharge plans with community providers to facilitate a seamless transition from care and promote ongoing support post-treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves adolescents who are dealing with a range of mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. You will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds and environments, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs while promoting inclusivity and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required.

• Possession of a valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
