Full Charge Bookkeeper

Haywire is looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining our books, managing accounts payable and receivable, inventory and ensuring proper capitalization of construction costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accrual accounting, attention to detail, and experience in industries with significant capital expenditures. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accrual accounting principles including properly capitalizing construction and infrastructure costs in accordance with GAAP Support the business as it manages inventory and materials ordering Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts Process payroll and manage related tax filings Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes Qualifications 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP principles Experience with capitalization of construction costs and fixed asset accounting Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skill Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Additional Information Pay Range: $80k - $90k Haywire provides retirement, PTO, and insurance packages After the successful completion of initial training, this role may work a combination of on-site and remote days Location 1401 N Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN 46202 #J-18808-Ljbffr Gohaywire
