Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco has partnered with a client in downtown Indianapolis to hire a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox Process and review vendor invoices, check requests, and refunds for accuracy Research and resolve invoice discrepancies prior to payment Schedule and process check runs; prepare, review, and distribute checks Initiate wire and ACH payments to vendors and lenders as needed Maintain accurate cash balances by entity and reconcile activity using internal tracking tools Coordinate funding requests for projects in partnership with accounting leadership Process and track corporate credit card transactions and obtain missing documentation Assist with 1099 processing and documentation Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries related to accounts payable Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or credit balances Ensure critical bills (credit cards, payroll, fees) are paid on time Provide backup support to the accounting team, including making bank deposits when needed Organize and maintain invoice files and reporting documentation Assist with daily and weekly accounting reports Support special projects and additional duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Notice Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) and its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries ("we," "our," or "Vaco by Highspring") are committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race (including but not limited to traits historically associated with race such as hair texture and hair style), color, sex (includes pregnancy or related conditions), religion or creed, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, status as a veteran, union membership, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, or any other protected characteristics as required by applicable law.
