Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand each client’s mental health status and substance use history, using standardized screening tools and evidence-based frameworks.

• Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing both mental health and substance use concerns, employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based practices.

• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions via teletherapy or in-person (when applicable) to support clients in minimizing their substance use and improving their overall mental well-being.

• Set achievable therapeutic goals collaboratively with clients and continuously monitor their progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and successes.
\n
• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards to ensure quality care and accountability.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and clinical supervision to discuss case management and share insights with colleagues, fostering a collaborative approach to mental health care.

• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client focus for this role includes adults navigating various stages of substance use recovery, along with associated mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Qualifications\n

• A valid and current mental health license in the state of Illinois, which includes: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A minimum of a Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, fostering a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship.

• Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to treatment, understanding the complex challenges our clients face.

• Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills to juggle a varied caseload effectively.
