Estimator - Foundation Division Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is hiring a Foundation Estimator. Estimation Responsibilities The Estimator will organize bid items and activities, complete accurate quantity take‑offs, and develop pricing using industry techniques, methods, and standard practices. The role requires daily interaction with estimating management, project operations, and estimating staff to prioritize and meet schedule requirements. Essential Skills and Duties Excellent organizational skills, proficient at preparing and presenting bid package information for estimate review Quantify project components using take‑off tools (electronic digitizers, AutoCAD, pre‑formatted spreadsheets) Accurate interpretation of plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to determine scope of work Maintain cost keys and pricing database by product and geographic location Collaborate with estimating team to build the estimate and price items assigned using the company electronic estimating system Solicit and obtain timely quotes from vendors and subcontractors for materials and services that meet specifications Review vendor and subcontractor quotes, provide evaluation and summary of pricing Experience with HCSS estimating system is preferred Strong ability to prioritize estimating tasks to meet review schedules and bid dates Experience with foundation Design‑Build projects and design parameters is a plus Visit project sites to understand conditions, restrictions, and attend pre‑bid meetings Develop preliminary construction schedules based on plans and specifications Experience with P6 scheduling software is a plus Proficient in Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communication Educational Qualifications 4‑year BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (required) Minimum 2 years of project management/estimating experience Experience in foundation construction field (caissons, micropiles, anchors, tiebacks, soil nails, grouting, underpinning, soil mixing, shoring, earth retention, etc.) Location: 16056. This position is safety‑sensitive and may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, and on changing sites. Additional compliance with stringent drug testing and Federal Contractor policies applies.
