Balance Bliss Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, where you will provide critical mental health support to individuals receiving care at our affiliated hospice center in Paterson, New Jersey. You will play an essential role in delivering therapeutic interventions designed to improve the emotional and psychological well-being of clients facing the end-of-life stages.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still engaging with clients virtually. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and nursing staff, ensuring coordinated patient care. Your interactions will primarily occur through telehealth platforms, facilitating therapy and support sessions with clients at the hospice center.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, including emotional distress, coping strategies, and available support systems.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically tailored to address anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass short-term and long-term therapeutic goals, regularly reviewing and adjusting them based on client progress.

• Collaborate closely with the treatment team, ensuring holistic care through communication of client needs and coordination of treatment efforts.

• Offer crisis intervention, including risk assessments and safety planning, to manage acute distress and ensure client safety.
\n
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes in adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Facilitate psychoeducation classes, support groups, and group therapy sessions designed to empower clients and foster a sense of community among peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population includes individuals facing terminal illnesses, their families, and loved ones who require emotional support and guidance. Your role will center around assisting these clients in navigating complex emotions and coping strategies, promoting psychological wellness during a critical phase of life. Empathy and understanding are paramount as you aid clients in processing grief and finding closure.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health, preferably in a hospice, outpatient, or acute care setting.

• Strong familiarity with evidence-based therapy modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a sign-on bonus upon successful onboarding. Our benefits package includes:
