Registered Nurse (RN) - Admission - $32-48 per hour

Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) Admission – Pre‑Admission Testing Center Location Valley Park, Missouri Overview Staff RN position in a Pre‑Admission Testing Center, with rotations to BJH, Barnes‑Jewish West County, and South County CAM. No weekends, holidays or call. Periodic late shifts in a 6‑week schedule. Primary duties include telephone and in‑person patient assessments. Requires current RN license and obtaining an Illinois license within 60 days of hire. 2‑year RN experience preferred. Responsibilities Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Participate in patient‑safety, quality, and regulatory‑compliance activities. Engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients or caregivers. Ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintain a constant state of alertness and perform all duties in a safe manner (safety‑sensitive position). Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: No prior experience required; 2 years of RN experience preferred. Licensure: Current RN license required; must obtain Illinois license within 60 days.
