We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Flexi-motion Rehab and Wellness Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping patients regain mobility, improve their physical functions, and enhance their overall quality of life. Our practice covers an expansive 5,000 square feet, designed to facilitate state-of-the-art sports medicine and rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on a patient-centered approach, mainly catering to those with private medical insurance while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment among our team of skilled professionals.

Work Environment

This full-time position encompasses a Monday to Friday work schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic environment. As part of a tight-knit team alongside two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will collaborate closely to develop and implement effective treatment plans while continuously monitoring patient progress in our onsite rehabilitation facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their healthcare needs and devise personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals.
• Maintain an efficient caseload, managing approximately one patient per hour to ensure a high standard of individual care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to provide effective care, including manual therapy and tailored exercise regimens, to enhance patients' movement capabilities.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to maximize functional outcomes and promote active participation in their recovery.
• Document all services provided comprehensively, ensuring accurate record-keeping and open communication with other healthcare providers.
• Regularly assess the efficacy of treatment plans and modify them as needed based on patient progress and feedback.
• Engage with patients to educate them on healthy lifestyle choices, including strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance improvement techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment modalities, where appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals seeking outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation services. You will work closely with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As you engage with each patient, your role will be crucial in facilitating their healing journey through tailored therapeutic interventions and ongoing motivational support.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, alongside a clean record with no disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated skills in manual therapy techniques and the development of evidence-based exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for continual professional development.
