Silver Lining Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time role will focus on delivering high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in a remote outpatient setting based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Work Environment\n

This role entails a remote work setting, complemented by occasional in-office support as necessary. Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will also have the flexibility to accommodate evening shifts based on patient needs. This arrangement allows for a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring that our clients receive timely and effective support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of each child and adolescent client, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider developmental milestones, family dynamics, and individual circumstances, ensuring each plan is regularly reviewed and adjusted as necessary.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family systems therapy, adapting approaches to fit the unique needs of each client.

• Lead family therapy sessions aimed at fostering communication and support among family members, thereby enhancing the overall therapeutic experience for young clients.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.

• Provide crisis intervention for children experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring swift and effective support during emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health, treatment options, and available community resources that can aid in their recovery.

• Maintain organized and confidential clinical documentation that complies with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in training programs, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Silver Lining Counseling specializes in services for children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will collaborate closely with our child psychiatry team, ensuring a well-rounded, integrated approach to client care that respects the individuality of each young person and their family.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Experience in providing therapeutic support to children and families, demonstrating an understanding of developmental psychology and family dynamics.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a compassionate and engaging attitude toward clients of all ages.

• Ability to foster rapport and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a competency in utilizing technology for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in child and adolescent behavioral therapy or crisis intervention will be given preference. Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
