This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing essential mental health services to children and adolescents in the Edison, NJ area. As a vital member of our dynamic psychiatric team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions that promote the mental well-being of young individuals and their families.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while being part of a passionate and enthusiastic team of child psychiatrists and mental health professionals. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of children and adolescents, utilizing validated assessment tools.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, taking into account the developmental stages and family contexts of each patient.
\n
• Provide therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of our young clients.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to care, participating in case discussions and treatment planning.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support for young clients experiencing acute mental health issues or emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, intervention strategies, and available resources within the community.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that complies with legal requirements and ethical standards of practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. We believe in a family-centered approach where caregivers are actively involved in the treatment process. Your role will be essential in addressing not just the mental health needs of our young patients but also in empowering families with the knowledge and tools they need to support their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues, along with proven experience in evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with children and teenagers.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technology.
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

• Demonstrated success in working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, including participation in case reviews and team consultations.

• Experience in a community health clinic or similar setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
