Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and concerns of children and adolescents, using standardized tools and parent questionnaires.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, developmental stages, and family dynamics, ensuring that treatment approaches are tailored to each patient's situation.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to engage parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to support their child’s development and emotional regulation.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure a coordinated approach to care and the seamless integration of treatment methods.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies to ensure the safety and stability of young patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Maintain exceptional standards of confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines in all documentation and interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is essential.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.

• Experience in providing individual and family therapy specifically targeting young individuals, highlighting your skill in adapting therapy to the developmental stages of children and adolescents.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to connect with children, adolescents, and their families in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications to facilitate efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n
