Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools to gain insights into their emotional and psychological needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that account for each patient's developmental stage, family context, and specific mental health issues.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, integrating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to young individuals.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster a nurturing environment that promotes the mental well-being of their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to create a cohesive treatment approach that addresses all aspects of the patient’s health.

• Offer crisis intervention services for pediatric patients experiencing severe mental health crises, ensuring they receive timely and effective support.

• Educate families on mental health conditions, guiding them through available treatment options and community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will focus on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Your expertise will directly contribute to restoring hope and resilience in our young patients, facilitating their ability to thrive socially and emotionally.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.

• Minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating proficiency in child and adolescent mental health.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders affecting youth, including knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and child-centered approach to therapy.

• Ability to effectively build rapport with patients and their families, fostering trust and openness in therapy sessions.

• Comfort and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, facilitating seamless documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
