Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing recognized assessment tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with patients and families to create individualized treatment plans, factoring in each child's developmental stage and unique circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to help parents and caregivers foster supportive home environments for their children.

• Engage in crisis intervention when emergencies arise, ensuring timely and effective support for young individuals facing acute mental health challenges.

• Educate patients and their families about available treatment options, mental health conditions, and community resources that can enhance their support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, including comprehensive updates in electronic health records (EHR).

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to collaboratively discuss patient care and share insights.

• Stay current on best practices, research advancements, and evolving therapeutic techniques in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Our patient population is diverse, requiring a therapist who can adapt their approach to meet the varied needs and backgrounds of young clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and related evidence-based practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, compassionate, and engaging demeanor.

• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, fostering a therapeutic alliance.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a comfort level with technology in a remote setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in providing individual and family therapy focused on child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
