Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, using standardized tools and clinical interviews to identify their needs and challenges.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health conditions.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address a range of mental health disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing parental understanding, support, and active involvement in the child's treatment journey.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists, pediatricians, and educational professionals to ensure integrated care that supports the mental health of our clients.

• Offer timely crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, helping families navigate distressing situations.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in team meetings and case discussions, contributing insights and sharing best practices to enhance collaborative care.

• Stay updated on current research, emerging trends, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to continually improve therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on treating children and adolescents facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
