Vitality Therapy Centre is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while also engaging with clients in our outpatient office located in Columbus, Georgia. Your role will involve providing therapeutic services to young individuals, helping them navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing our therapists to work comfortably while maintaining accessibility for clients. However, you will also be an integral part of our outpatient office in Columbus, involved in collaborative care with your colleagues. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate diverse patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the needs of each child or adolescent, employing a keen understanding of developmental psychology.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, including their developmental stage and family environment.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are appropriate for various mental health concerns, focusing on techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to educate and empower parents and caregivers, promoting a nurturing environment conducive to the child's healing and growth.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals within our center to ensure a coordinated and integrative approach to mental health care.

• Offer crisis intervention support during critical mental health emergencies and provide immediate assistance to children and their families.
\n
• Conduct educational sessions for both patients and their families about various mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to further enhance your expertise.

• Stay current on advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry and integrate best practices into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will engage with young patients in a sensitive and supportive manner, fostering trust and rapport to create a safe therapeutic space. Understanding the unique dynamics of family systems will also be crucial in your approach as you advocate for holistic care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with a proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy focused on young populations.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exemplifying a compassionate, child-centric approach.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

• A collaborative spirit with the ability to thrive within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of relevant experience working with children and adolescents in clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to $110,000, reflecting your qualifications and experience.
