Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, documenting detailed case histories and treatment progress from initial consultation through to completion of care.

• Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each approach is evidence-based and culturally competent.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities that align with client needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.

• Conduct follow-up communications with mental health specialists and other providers for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuous care and support.
\n
• Proactively identify and intervene with behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing psychoeducation and strategies to clients and their families.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges, offering resources and strategies for managing behavioral issues at home.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Healthy Wave, you will play an instrumental role in transforming lives by equipping clients with coping skills and tools necessary to navigate their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting, is advantageous.
\n
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation and ensure seamless information flow.

• A solid understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional well-being, and addiction recovery.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with various mental health conditions, particularly co-occurring disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their potential effects as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable manner.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
