Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and social needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account each child’s developmental stage, cultural background, and family dynamics, guiding their path to wellness.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, or family therapy, tailored to address a wide spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral problems.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists to ensure a coordinated care approach, continuously evaluating treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support strategies for children and adolescents undergoing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their caregivers about mental health conditions, treatment options, and vital community resources, fostering an understanding that promotes proactive management of mental health.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of treatment and assessment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations and training sessions, staying updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 18 years, each presenting unique challenges that require a tailored therapeutic approach. Your expertise will help guide them through diagnoses such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and ADHD, with a family-centered focus that emphasizes the importance of engaging caregivers in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adaptable to digital communication tools.

• A collaborative mindset that thrives in multidisciplinary team settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
