The Vitality Therapy Centre is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our dynamic child and adolescent psychiatry team. In this full-time role based in our outpatient facility in Tampa, Florida, you will deliver high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility in how you engage with your patients, while additional support is available through our outpatient office setting. Our team works Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate our clients' needs. You will collaborate with experienced professionals in a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans, taking into account the developmental stages and family backgrounds of each client.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored specifically to young patients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive environments.
\n
• Work in collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive mental health care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health episodes involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and beneficial community resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
\n
• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and enhance collective knowledge.

• Stay updated on advancements in child and adolescent mental health through ongoing research and learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on adolescents and children dealing with a range of mental health disorders. You will develop strong, trusting relationships with your patients, becoming an integral part of their journey towards healing. Emphasis will be placed on understanding each patient as a unique individual, fostering a child-centered approach that recognizes the importance of family dynamics in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• A strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a mental health setting, particularly focusing on child and adolescent populations.

• Previous involvement in family therapy sessions and crisis intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, our compensation package includes a sign-on bonus and performance-based bonuses.
