Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting, enabling you to provide quality mental health counseling while balancing personal and professional needs. Our organization champions flexibility and understands the importance of adapting to various circumstances while delivering high-quality care from the comfort of your chosen workspace. Shift hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on the needs of our patients, ensuring that we are available for our clients when they need us most.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately discern the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and unique circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that educate and empower parents and caregivers, thereby fostering a nurturing home environment.

• Work in close collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care that is holistic and effective.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during high-stress situations involving children and adolescents to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, outlining treatment options and community resources available for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of care is consistently provided.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to promote continued professional development and healthcare best practices.

• Stay current with relevant research, new methodologies, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to continually enhance service delivery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of New York.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, with specific expertise in working with children and adolescents.

• Previous experience delivering individual and family therapy to young clients is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
