Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to determine the needs, strengths, and challenges faced by children and adolescents, utilizing standardized evaluation tools.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to effectively address various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Collaborate with attending child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective care.

• Offer education to patients and families about mental health disorders, navigating treatment options, and accessing community supports and resources.

• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation to adhere to legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Actively contribute to team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to enhance patient outcomes.

• Stay abreast of advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry through continuous learning and professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Our therapist will work with young patients in a compassionate and age-appropriate manner, ensuring they and their families feel safe and understood. By adopting a child-centric approach, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing their growth and development.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• You must possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in child and adolescent mental health.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches for young individuals is highly desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.
