Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be performed remotely, providing flexibility and convenience for both the therapist and the clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that take into account individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural backgrounds.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders, using techniques that foster engagement and comfort.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions designed to educate and empower parents and caregivers in creating a nurturing home environment.

• Work closely with our team of child psychiatrists and other specialists to coordinate care and ensure a unified therapeutic approach, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention support for children and adolescents facing immediate mental health challenges.

• Educate families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local community resources to enhance their support system.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans rigorously, maintaining compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Regularly participate in team meetings, case consultations, and opportunities for professional development to keep updated with best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents grappling with mental health issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Therapists will be expected to establish rapport with their clients, using an empathetic and child-centered approach to create a safe space for them to express themselves. By working closely with families, therapists facilitate a comprehensive treatment approach that emphasizes positive outcomes and community support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in the mental health field focused on children and adolescents.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy, with a keen ability to connect with young clients.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, marked by a compassionate and engaging demeanor.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software to maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment plans.
