Work Environment\n

This position is available in a remote setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining a professional and collaborative atmosphere. You will be part of our outpatient office team, which operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific needs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that reflect each child's development stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies to intervene in various mental health issues, including offering cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family counseling.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to deliver coordinated care and holistic support to our young patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support services when emergencies arise, ensuring timely and effective action for children in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, establishing understanding and empowerment regarding treatment options and community resources available for support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality control and accountability.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to share insights, improve care strategies, and stay informed of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 who face various mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral issues. The role requires a sensitivity and understanding of the unique pressures faced by this population, including family dynamics, school-related stress, and social challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong skills in delivering individual and family therapy, tailored to the unique needs of younger clients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, child-centered approach.
\n
• Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment, showing flexibility and collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

Applicants with at least two years of experience in providing mental health counseling specifically for children and adolescents will be prioritized. Experience in an outpatient facility or school setting is particularly valued, as is familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and treatment of behavioral disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, supplemented by performance-based bonuses and possible sign-on bonuses.
