Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, developing a clear understanding of their unique challenges.

• Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans aligning with client needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a tailored approach to mental health care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), equipping clients with the tools they need to manage their mental health.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to promote overall well-being.

• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, ensuring that clients receive comprehensively coordinated services.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments, using this knowledge to enhance therapeutic strategies and interventions.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to facilitate effective treatment tracking.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role will also involve working with various marginalized groups, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, requiring empathy and cultural sensitivity in your approach.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
