Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art outpatient facility located in Richmond, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities, utilizing diagnostic assessments to form individualized treatment plans.
• Implement targeted physical therapy interventions to relieve pain, improve functionality, and increase overall physical performance, adhering to established care plans.
• Oversee and direct the workflow of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure quality care and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and assistive modalities as per a physician's prescriptions.
• Regularly assess the progress of clients and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to comply with regulatory standards and facilitate communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in case conferences to collaboratively discuss patient care strategies with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate clients and their families about the physical therapy process, including the use of assistive devices and home exercise plans.
• Stay current with physical therapy practices and contribute to the development of new policies or programs aimed at improving client care.
• Complete administrative tasks, including timely documentation and adherence to company policies regarding service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and injuries that require tailored physical therapy interventions. You will provide services to diverse groups, ranging from young athletes to older adults, ensuring that your treatment strategies reflect the demographic and clinical nuances of each client.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, with previous experience in an outpatient or acute care setting preferred.
• Current and valid State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• Current CPR certification; additional certifications in areas such as orthopedics or sports therapy are a plus.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required as travel may be necessary.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic health record systems to manage patient documentation effectively.
• Previous engagement in interdisciplinary team collaboration within healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with inpatient rehabilitation protocols and outpatient care environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflecting the importance we place on our therapists' expertise.
