Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite and involves providing care directly in the community through a home care setting. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, participating in an enriching work atmosphere that encourages innovation and patience-centered care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations that include assessing mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity of patients.
• Design tailored treatment plans based on evaluations that outline specific short- and long-term goals reflecting each patient's unique abilities and challenges.
• Execute treatment plans with consistency, adapting based on patient progress while ensuring documented adjustments at each session.
• Maintain detailed and professional records of patient progress following facility protocols to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices through ongoing education, attending workshops, and reviewing relevant literature.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in our facility to create a streamlined approach to patient recovery, contributing to a supportive and efficient care environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will encounter a variety of age groups and will be instrumental in developing engagement strategies that motivate each patient to push their boundaries safely and responsibly.

Qualifications

• Currently possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with advanced qualifications (Master's or Doctorate) preferred.
• Hold an active Physical Therapy license valid in Virginia.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, inclusive of AED training.
• Exhibit a strong capability for empathy, with a genuine desire to support patients through their recovery journeys.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic settings, is required.
• Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and rehab technologies specific to enhancing physical therapy outcomes.
• A solid understanding of and experience in modifying treatments based on patient progress and feedback to achieve the best outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
