Position Overview

Crossroad Pain and Orthopedics is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Bronx, New York. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work within our outpatient orthopedic practice, providing high-quality care under the guidance of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director. Work Environment

This full-time position is based in an assisted living facility located in the Bronx, offering a supportive and warm atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced physicians, fellow Nurse Practitioners, skilled Registered Nurses, and dedicated administrative personnel, all working together to create an integrative approach to outpatient care. Your standard working hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a favorable work-life balance devoid of night or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations, to assess the needs of patients presenting with orthopedic concerns.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and other specialists to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure seamless referrals when necessary.
• Manage and monitor patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, providing education on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence to improve health outcomes.
• Deliver outpatient Electrophysiology services, including stress testing and managing patients with arrhythmias and related conditions.
• Provide timely and effective management of acute conditions like coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure, ensuring comprehensive care for complex patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their diagnoses, treatment options, and self-management strategies to foster informed participation in their healthcare.
• Stay up to date with the latest medical guidelines and practices to enhance patient care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily work with an adult population, which may include geriatric patients, individuals with chronic orthopedic pain, rehabilitation needs, and those requiring management of concurrent medical conditions. Your role will be pivotal in addressing the complex medical issues faced by these patients, ensuring that they receive holistic and compassionate care tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, followed by a Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York State.
• Successful completion of an appropriate certification exam relevant to the field.
• Proven ability to perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment strategies effectively.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from both seasoned Nurse Practitioners and recent graduates with prior experience in outpatient or inpatient orthopedic settings. Experience in pain management, electrophysiology, or the treatment of cardiac conditions will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer:
