Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within our state-of-the-art orthopedic facility. As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Shift Gears, you will engage in a variety of therapeutic interventions, ensuring a hands-on approach in an environment designed for both patient comfort and clinical efficiency. Our team is committed to maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere conducive to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to meet individual patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Consistently monitor and document each patient's progress, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Educate patients about their diagnosis, treatment options, and proper exercise techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to evaluate and coordinate comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a patient's recovery.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role will be crucial in supporting patients of all ages and backgrounds as they work towards regaining mobility and quality of life. Understanding the unique challenges these patients face will be key to your success in this position.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid and active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant must be maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting is essential.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is necessary for effective patient care.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism while providing care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital for collaborating with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
