Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite in our outpatient office located in Leesburg, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery, utilizing evidence-based physical therapy practices.
• Establish detailed and individualized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic techniques such as exercise, hands-on therapy, and technological aids.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking treatments and responses to inform ongoing care and therapeutic adjustments.
• Regularly reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Recommend and fit patients for assistive devices to promote independence in self-care and mobility.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members regarding therapy techniques and effective use of assistive devices, fostering a supportive rehabilitation environment.
• Stay current with professional development by attending workshops, engaging with professional literature, and participating in industry conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clientele will include a diverse range of individuals across various age groups and diagnoses. This includes children needing rehabilitation after sports injuries, adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, and elderly patients managing chronic conditions. Each patient's treatment plan is tailored to achieve personalized therapeutic goals, enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist degree with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy is required; Doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is essential.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to interact effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficient in Word processing and capable of using electronic documentation systems.
• A demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Experience

While two years of hands-on physical therapy experience are required, new graduates are encouraged to apply, especially those who demonstrate a commitment to professional development and a passion for patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
