Job Details Job Location: V Theater Group LLC - Las Vegas, NV 89118 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $26.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Accounting STAFF ACCOUNTANT Can we count on you to keep our finances organized? The Staff Accountant plays a leading role on the main stage of business operations. This individual needs to be a QuickBooks and Excel Guru ready to perform a variety of accounting tasks and make recommendations for effective strategies. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Assist in preparation of tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports Assess and research accounting issues to identify solutions Analyze transactions and prepare financial reports Compile accounting reports for daily operations Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities Offer support and guidance during audits Perform account/ledger reconciliations and oversee/manage accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes and accounting procedures Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports Establish accounting policies and procedures Offer support and guidance to the accounting team Balance financial records and check for inaccuracies Perform other accounting related duties and tasks assigned WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial procedures Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information Outstanding time-management and prioritization abilities Work well individually and as a team Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks desktop Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a staff accountant required 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks desktop required 3+ years of experience using Excel Proven experience preparing corporate tax returns and financial reports Knowledge of Paycom is a plus ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Work environment: In-person office setting Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a day May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone Light to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company data Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions This job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
