Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood education as an Occupational Therapist in Lackawanna County. This position offers the chance to work onsite, making a direct impact on the growth and development of young students in school environments.
You’ll provide specialized services in early childhood settings, working 21 hours across 2-3 days each week—with the exciting potential to transition to full-time hours (up to 5 days) as the calendar year progresses. Start as soon as possible and continue through June 16, 2027, further establishing your expertise in this fulfilling area.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Ability to provide PA state-mandated clearances (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience within school settings is highly regarded
- Demonstrated success collaborating with and supporting young children, ideally in early childhood education
- Adaptable and enthusiastic about contributing in onsite roles
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services tailored to meet students’ needs in early childhood classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies to foster student growth and participation
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance standards
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a vibrant, supportive school community
