Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using structured tools and interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide therapeutic interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies, promoting self-management and recovery.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to ensure effective care.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated treatment, addressing both psychological and biological aspects of mood disorders.

• Stay current with emerging research in mental health to enhance treatment methodologies and contribute to ongoing quality improvements in the clinic.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, training sessions, and workshops to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Advocate for clients by participating in initiatives that de-stigmatize mental health issues and promote mental health awareness in the community.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Solid knowledge of evidence-based treatment strategies, particularly in mood disorders, with a focus on CBT and DBT.

• Understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work effectively with psychiatrists and medical professionals.

• Excellent communication skills, facilitating rapport-building with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in outpatient settings with a focus on mood disorders is preferred. A documented history of successful patient outcomes is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be an advantage, as you will be required to document clinical interactions and treatment progress effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 annually.
