The role is structured around a remote work model with the flexibility to balance personal and professional responsibilities. Although primarily remote, therapists engage with clients via telehealth platforms and can conduct in-person sessions at our outpatient office when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, both in-home and at the outpatient center, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Providing specialized support in areas such as anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies, aimed at mitigating high-risk behaviors like self-injurious actions and physical aggression.

• Collaborating with a Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each client's health and wellbeing.
\n
• Documenting all required clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress reports within established timelines to maintain compliance with organizational standards.

• Participating in monthly team meetings, contributing recommendations based on clinical observations, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Watertown Regional Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults. The clients often present challenges related to family dynamics, mental health issues, and behavioral concerns. Your expertise will help shape their treatment plans, focusing on developing coping skills and healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Ability and willingness to commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, preferably during the after-school hours of 4-7 pm.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle, as some in-home client visits may be required.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experience will be advantageous:

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed therapist.

• Documented experience in providing positive behavior support and effective therapeutic techniques for diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
