As a critical member of our multidisciplinary team, you will conduct mental health assessments, devise tailored treatment strategies, and lead both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring holistic support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, documenting each client's history and treatment journey from initial consultation through completion.

• Formulate individualized treatment plans that address the mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs of clients, integrating evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and group interventions, utilizing various counseling techniques tailored to the unique needs of your patients.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals—including doctors, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with multifaceted needs.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and hospital staff regarding clients admitted for inpatient care to coordinate ongoing therapy and support.
\n
• Identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and work proactively with clients to mitigate these challenges.
\n
• Support families and primary caregivers by providing them with strategies to manage associated behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, showcasing a strong therapeutic approach and patient engagement.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, exemplified by familiarity with AVATAR or similar platforms that enhance treatment documentation and follow-up.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders, alongside knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health challenges.

• Familiarity with the best practice guidelines from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly desirable.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity in client interactions and documentation.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by a sincere and empathetic nature.

Compensation and Benefits\n
