Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients' mental health status and establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop personalized therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based practices and cultural competence.

• Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly therapy sessions, providing clients with therapeutic tools and strategies to manage and overcome their mental health challenges.

• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Provide referrals to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or specialized therapists, as needed to enhance the client’s well-being.

• Document sessions accurately and efficiently in our EHR system, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular supervision and team meetings to foster continuous learning and collaboration among colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a varied client base including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. This role requires a nuanced understanding of cultural backgrounds and an ability to engage with clients from diverse demographics, utilizing inclusive therapeutic methodologies to create a supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of related experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a solid clinical foundation.

• Expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques and a thorough understanding of various mental health disorders.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the development of trusting relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
