Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments with clients to evaluate their mental health status and identify their treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans which may include therapeutic techniques, coping strategies, and setting specific goals.

• Facilitate regular counseling sessions to support clients in addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use, and behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to empower them with self-help tools and coping mechanisms to improve their overall functioning and mental well-being.

• Provide referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary, such as psychiatrists for medication evaluations or specialized therapists.

• Document client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.

• Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated with the latest approaches in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. You will utilize culturally responsive practices to ensure that all clients receive the most relevant and effective care tailored to their unique backgrounds and situations. You will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their mental health challenges, helping them to develop insights and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment practices.

• Experience engaging with diverse populations and an understanding of culturally sensitive therapeutic approaches.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits\n
