Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments by meeting with clients to understand their mental health status and challenges.

• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group, providing clients with coping strategies and tools to manage their mental health effectively.

• Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Make appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists or support groups, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Stay current with developments in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Diamond Grove, you will work with diverse populations, including adults and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Our clients often experience conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your ability to connect meaningfully with clients from different backgrounds will be crucial in fostering trust and encouraging open dialogue to promote recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• Proficient understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally competent care using responsive psychotherapy techniques.

• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective relationship building with clients and team members.

• Experience utilizing EHR systems for documenting patient care and treatment plans.

• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Adept at working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
