This role is entirely remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients from the comfort of their own homes while utilizing secure telehealth technologies. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying individual care needs and creating personalized therapeutic plans.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions aimed at addressing emotional challenges related to aging, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.

• Facilitate educational workshops for families and caregivers on strategies to enhance the emotional well-being of seniors, empowering them with tools to support their loved ones.

• Offer grief and loss counseling for clients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of end-of-life issues with compassion and understanding.

• Utilize evidence-based practices and assessments to track client progress and modify care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services and refer clients to additional care when necessary.

This position primarily focuses on elderly clients facing a myriad of mental health challenges, including cognitive decline, depressive disorders, grief following the loss of loved ones, and anxiety related to life transitions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the nuances of geriatric mental health and possess the skills to connect with clients empathetically while providing effective treatment solutions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

• At least 2 years of recent experience working with geriatric populations in a counseling or therapeutic role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
