Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations with clients to identify mental health needs, goals, and concerns.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related challenges.

• Lead couples and family therapy sessions, focusing on relationship dynamics, communication barriers, and family conflict resolution strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans, setting clear objectives and interventions tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in immediate distress, applying evidence-based techniques to stabilize situations.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, adaptive coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines while documenting assessments, treatment plans, and client progress.

• Follow ethical guidelines and legal requirements in all counseling interactions to protect client confidentiality and ensure informed consent.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
